Chassis dynamometer having world class control algorithms coupled with innovative mechanical designs and integration technology has been completely developed over the acquisition period by TeSys for Hofmann TeSys GmbH and Froude Hofmann chassis dynamometer product IP (Intellectual Property) from 2016 up to 2018.  

Now, TeSys can present a strong platform for the compete range of chassis dynamometer products contributable to Research and Development purpose with configurable versions for Battery Efficiency (PHEV, HEV, BEV), Emission, Performance/Endurance,Climatic, NVH and other bespoke applications to suit Military, Heavy/Medium/Light Duty vehicles as well as Motorcycle / AGV / ATV / 2-wheelers. Our chassis dynamometer has multiple solutions from a simple 1 wheel drive motorcycle to a fully independent 16x16 special commercial vehicle system applicable to conventional and e-drive vehicles.

TeSys Endurance (Mileage accumulation and Performance)

chassis systems utilize the same range of chassis dynamometers as for the emissions application.  

By integrating a robot driver, automatic re-fueling device, air speed simulation fans, data acquisition and safety devices, we provide a fully automated test cell, enabling unsupervised, 24-hour testing of the vehicle over its expected lifespan, (typically 100,000 miles or more) in an accelerated time period.

  • High performance TeSys application software controls the dynamometer so that it simulates a full spectrum of road load scenarios. This enables specific tests to be performed under laboratory conditions. Typical system configurations include 4x2, 4x4 and"independent" roller dynamometers.
  • The unique ability of TeSys to engineer and integrate all of the devices into one complete test automation system realizes many features and benefits for the test engineer including: reduced interfaces and controllers, fully integrated control and data acquisition, synchronization of test cell subsystems (robot driver, automated fuel filling systems, airspeed simulation fan), automated drive cycle control and monitoring and effective integration of all the safety systems.
  • The core of the system is a comprehensive schedule generator function for creating, editing and executing the automated drive cycles. This utility in conjunction with the robot driver system provides a highly capable "real world" or regulatory simulation package with human driving capability and fully automatic operation of all the vehicle function.
  • Standard mileage accumulation cycles are pre-programmed and special and/or complex cycles are easily generated using the schedule generator or road gathered data functions.

Endurance Testing Systems provide full 24 hour unattended vehicle testing under automatic control.  Vehicle and component ageing can be analyzed within a controlled environment, or exposed to prevailing weather conditions.

TeSys Automatic Fuel Supply System is a common addition to this facility to support continuous testing and a safe working environment.

Applications

TeSys supplies a wide range of vehicle test benches which are specifically designed for testing motorcycles, passenger cars, light to heavy-duty trucks, buses, agricultural vehicles, military vehicles and specific component sub-assemblies.

Applications are as varied as follows:

  • Climatic test simulating extreme hot and cold operating conditions

  • Condensed vehicle life tests(> 100,000 miles)

Various AC motor and roll configurations are available, either in-line, or center-mounted (MIM:Motor-in-middle) and independent. Inertia simulation ranges cover motorcycles to heavy-duty commercial up to military vehicles.
